Rally Reviews

Throughout the Steam and Vintage Rally season, we'll be visiting rallies with and without our Traction Engine, Victoria, and we intend to give a personal review of what we found, good, interesting, exciting, etc.

I'm sure you won't mind me adding to your list!

Yesterday, we attended the Holsworthy Steam and Vintage Rally, where we exhibited "Harriet", our Triumph Herald. It was a beautiful sunny day.

This event has, we are told, been running for over ten years and is growing in popularity and size every year. It really was a fun day out for the whole family and there was an excellent turnout by exhibitors.

The key to the rally's success appears to be its appeal to such a wide range of interests - there was something for everyone including traction engines, tractors and agricultural machinery (as you would expect in Devon), vintage and classic cars, commercial vehicles, military displays, motorcycles, steam-powered fairground rides, fairground organs and more!

The event is really well organised yet retains a relaxed feel. It is obvious that the organisers work extremely hard to make the event a success. We're looking forward to next year!
