So you found a new venue, nice one. The bigger size will mean more stuff can be exhibited I guess and more public car parking space is probably a must have. I’m thinking of bringing something different this year, I’m checking ebay to see if anything catches my eye. Watch this space!! TTFN, Dink.

I am in complete agreement about the NRM. My visit in May 2011 was my first in 20 years and although it was very good all those years ago, it is superb now, with so much more to see. As a young man, growing up in Yorkshire I used to visit the old railway museum, which was in a not very big old engine shed near the city walls, south of the station. Although it was interesting, it was cramped and rather dirty. A world away from the present museum.

Nice article to go with the interesting pictures Kevin. It should give food for thought for those with engine owning ambitions. This ambition does not include me, much too much like hard work, unless I was rich enough to get somebody else to do it !
