A busy few weeks

A busy few weeks

P1170084

Here we are nearly at the end of May and we have had a busy few weeks with the engines, first it was Victoria’s steam test which she passed with flying colours so we decided to take her out for a quick chuff around the village. This was cut a bit short due to the weather which was not good, raining, hail and some thunder and lighting for good measure so home we came.

Lady was also put back together and steamed up to make sure everything was working as it should and we are glad to report it did. We then took her for a trip around the village, first stop Kevs house then on the the owners house, Dennis who was very pleased to see her all back together and out on the road.

A couple of pictures here of there first chuff for 2014

Another exciting event for us has been finally the arrival of our new trailer, after purchasing this in December it arrived back here in Hampshire at the beginning of May. Here are a few pictures of it when it arrived and the work we are doing on it at the moment.

The first couple of events have been and gone, May 5th saw Victoria take a trip of about 10 miles to The East Meon Fete where we had a lovely day and the village green where it was held was packed. We have also been to a local farmers charity event this weekend on the Sunday and then on Monday to our local town of Petersfield for their Spring Festival. Monday was a horrible day weather wise it just didn’t stop raining!! But never the less we had a good day and both engines went well.. A few pictures from these events.
