While at Liss Carnival on the 10th June one of the members of the Double ‘LL’ Club, of which we are also members, handed us a picture of a Traction Engine that had been taken around the early 1900s at a brickworks in Petersfield. When we looked at the engine we recognised it immediately as Fowler 7453, Albert (which is now in France). This was an amazing find. The number of times we’ve asked people if they have any pictures of steam engines in and around Petersfield, but to no avail. The picture was handed to us by Derek Leech and he said we could take it away and scan it for our records. So, we’ve done that, and now published it on the following page:
