HCVS London to Brighton Run 1st May 2011

HCVS London to Brighton Run 1st May 2011

We decided to take a trip towards Brighton on Sunday to watch the London to Brighton run, we wanted to see the 3 steam road locos with the load so decided not to venture into Brighton and waited along their route. As we got onto the A23 they were just behind us, we pulled into the first layby we could, which was packed with people and their cars. What a great site the engines and the trailer, the lead engine was Burrell “His Majesty” then McLaren “Boadicea” then the trailer with the load and finally Fowler “The Great North”. We stopped a few miles out of Brighton and watch it all go by for the last time but as the sun was shinning so we decided then that we would wait for some of the other vehicles to come by. We had a great couple of hours enjoying watching them and took loads of pictures as you can see below.

If we have any information on any of these vehicles wrong or you have any more info on the them please email us and let us know. If you would like  any of the pictures please email us and we will be happy to send you a copy of them.

What a great day we had….
