We have decided to take a quick look back to Kingsley Steam Rally 2018, it’s a small local event near us and we have been attending for years now. Its run by a couple of dedicated people, Tony and Sylvia, and they run it as a charity event for Macmillan, they run a few events through the year and have raised thousands of pounds over the years.
We love the event because its very laid back and no hi vis vest to see! As long as you behave yourself and be sensible then there is no need for the high vis vest. If you do step out of line though you will be told and even asked to leave but all of us on the rally field know this and we are all friends, weather you have a stall, motorbike, steamer or stationary engine, we are all there to enjoy our weekend. The field is hugh so plenty of room to chuff around and then sometimes there could be a brief photoshoot of engines, tractors etc. Great fun.
This event has no arena, no playpen, no evening entertainment or bar tent but it doesn’t seem to make a bit of difference, we just enjoy the peacefulness of the relaxed weekend and enjoy taking friends round for a steer on our engines.
Tony and Sylvia are great at putting on these events and we enjoy helping support the event for the weekend and hope they can raise as much money for their charity as possible.
Hear are a few pictures of the 2018 event, hopefully in 2022 we will be back supporting this excellent event again then.
