Victoria Restoration in 1980

Although Victoria always looks as though she has had the cleanest and easiest life of any engine, she of course did get used for work and when found in 1980 was in a fairly poor state. Peter Fagg took her on and did an amazing job on her, and that is why she looks as she does today – we were trained to take care of her and keep her in the condition that Peter had kept her in for many years.

Here are some pictures of Victoria’s restoration back in 1980/1981 done at the Brighton and Hove Engineerium where Peter worked and still works to this day, the pictures are in no particular order but we hope you still enjoy them.
