Big Victoria with little Victoria

Those of you that have known Victoria for a while will know that her owners before us were Peter and Shirley Fagg. I think most know what a fantastic engineer Peter is and a few years ago he decided to build a small model of Victoria. It started with a few phone calls from Peter to get himself started, but soon the phone calls turned into visits to measure all bits of Victoria as he wanted it to look just like big Victoria. The phone calls were often, but Lloyd enjoyed talking to Peter about Victoria and measuring all the bits and pieces of her; even counting rivets and bolts to make sure little Victoria look just like big Victoria.

We watched the progress of her coming along and it was just amazing what lengths Peter was going to, even small bits that you would never really see were the same, but that’s how Peter works. The small parts were beyond amazing, making all the small nuts and bolts, her wheels and even her shiny name plate.

Each time we visited she was coming together even looking better than we ever thought, and yes she looked just the same as Victoria. Then the day came to go and see her run on compressed air; to our surprise she even sounded like Victoria. We were, and still are, in ore of what Peter has done to create this masterpiece; she is beautiful.

Next the day came when we could get the two of them together, it was a big day for the two Victoria’s and all of us; hopefully we can do it again somewhere soon.
