In 1900 Walter acquired another Wallis and Steevens single cylinder roller. This was a 10 ton model and carried works number 2183, new in 1891. The engine was purchased second hand from Wallis’s.
For some reason, Sewards only used it for a year, and then in December 1901 part exchanged it at the Basingstoke works for a new but identical engine, number 2570.
