A great new discovery of a very old picture of Fowler traction engine 7453 at Nightingales Brickworks, The Causeway, Petersfield. Our thanks go to Derek Leech for this picture
The picture must have been taken in the early 1900s if not before. The driver and steersman can be clearly seen sat on and stood by the engine. There are two cheeky young lads in the trailer behind the engine.
On the frame of the picture there’s a signature that says either S P Blair or J P Blair, Petersfield. If you know of the Blair family from Petersfield who had an old relation that took pictures, we would be very interested in knowing if there are anymore pictures from the same photographer.
